Ahmed Hamdy Mahmoud’s personal library and music collection at the BA

Alexandria, 27 July 2005—The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has recently procured an exclusive donation from the collection of Professor Ahmad Hamdy Mahmoud’s personal library and music collection. It includes approximately 3000 books on numerous subjects and an impressive collection of classical music records reaching 1500 in number.
The late professor graduated from the Military Academy and was awarded the Palestine Medal in 1948. He obtained his PhD in Literature and held many posts in the Ministry of Education throughout his life.
