African and Asian cinema at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Alexandria, 12 May 2005—The Arts Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing a film festival about African and Asian cinema, 15-19 May 2005. The festival aims to introduce the Egyptian audience to foreign films not screened on any television network, therefore contributing to culture enrichment. An annual festival, it was also organized by the Center in 2003 and 2004.

This program comes within the BA’s goals of highlighting the rich diversity of world culture, and combating insularity and xenophobia.
