Honorary Doctorate of Laws conferred to Dr. Ismail Serageldin

Alexandria, 24 March 2005—The University of Minnesota has conferred the academic title of Honorary Doctorate of Laws to Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, during his visit to the institute, 23-24 March. Serageldin is the recipient of more than 17 honorary doctorates in different fields.
During his visit, he presented four lectures including The Digital Future; Agriculture and Science Technology; The Bibliotheca Alexandrina: Past, Present and Future; as well as Tides of Change: Reflections on Reform in the Arab and Muslim World.
