The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has kicked off the sessions of the seventeenth annual “Sketch Your Future” Conference, organized by the Library’s Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building and African Relations Support Program, from 18-20 July 2023, in the BACC Great Hall, in the presence of around one thousand five hundred students.

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, who pointed out that the number of universities in Egypt has reached nearly one hundred universities, including public and private universities and universities with international partnerships, and explained that students’ choice of their college must be based on a set of criteria, namely their love for their chosen majors, setting a long-term goal and working to achieve it. He also stressed the importance of the role of reading in building the personality of young people.

It is worth noting that this conference targets high school students to explain to them the different study systems in each college and the job opportunities they can be qualified for after graduation, in addition to clarifying the choices that suit their capabilities and potential.
