Libraries: Dynamic Engines for the Knowledge and Information Society

Alexandria- Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria and Dr. Sohair Wastawy, Head of the BA Libraries Sector will represent the BA in the 72nd IFLA General Conference and Council entitled “Libraries: Dynamic Engines for the Knowledge and Information Society” 20-24 August 2006, Seoul, Korea. The BA will present its experience in disseminating knowledge and developing the information society through the library’s facilities, services, conferences and events, which attract international and regional audience.
The conference will include an exhibition for cultural and scientific publications, in which the BA will present some of its distinguished publications.
