The BA Sadat Museum is organizing its annual competition on the occasion of the 52nd anniversary of the October War, on Monday, 6 October, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the museum hall.
The events include a comprehensive guided tour of the museum, highlighting the most prominent belongings and rare documents of the late President Anwar Sadat, followed by a competition for visitors and a prize-giving ceremony for winners and participants.
In celebration of this national occasion, the BA will open its doors to the public on Thursday, 9 October (the official holiday designated by the State to mark the October War), from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, to give visitors the opportunity to view the museum's collection and take part in its activities.
It is worth noting that the Museum of the Late President Anwar Sadat was inaugurated in February 2009 and houses a rare collection of artifacts donated by Mrs. Jehan Sadat to honor the memory of her husband. These artifacts include medals and decorations, press and historical photographs, old newspapers, personal clothing, handwritten papers, recordings of his voice reciting the Holy Quran, the suit he wore on the day of his assassination during the military parade in 1981, and his personal passport, along with several other distinctive items.
These events are part of the BA’s commitment to promoting national and historical awareness among new generations.
