The Bibliotheca Alexandrina launched this morning its Science Festivity 2025, which is organized by the Planetarium Science Center from 24 to 26 September at the Library's Plaza, under the theme “Arab Scientists in the Golden Age of Islam.”

The Science Festivity is one of the major scientific festivals open to the public in Egypt and the Arab world, giving science a lively presence and allowing visitors of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to ask questions, discuss, and discover, thereby enhancing the role of scientific culture for individuals and society.

“Arab Scientists in the Golden Age of Islam” was selected as this year’s main theme, as the festival seeks to highlight the great contributions of Arab and Muslim scientists in various fields of knowledge and their role in shaping human civilization, thus strengthening the scientific and cultural identity of new generations.

The celebration presents the “Science Village” events, which feature more than 43 science tents offering innovative workshops, interactive presentations and experiments, scientific lectures, and educational science plays.

The event is expected to witness a wide participation from educational and cultural institutions across Alexandria.
