“Pathways to Green Transition in the Arab Region” Workshop at the BA

The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs and the World Academy of Sciences for the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries' Arab Regional Partner (TWAS-AREP) are announcing a call for registration for a hybrid regional workshop entitled “Pathways to Green Transition in the Arab Region” that is set to take place from 23-24 September 2025.
The workshop is held under the umbrella of the Young Scientists Training Program, which aims to build the capacities of young Arab researchers, thus contributing to the development of their scientific skills, the achievement of their professional goals, and the strengthening of the network of relations and cooperation among them.
The workshop aims to exchange knowledge and experiences between young researchers from different Arab countries and a select group of scientists, academics, and specialists on the topic of green transition in the Arab region by highlighting the importance and strategies of green transition in the Arab region. The event will include interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics, including ways to achieve green transformation in order to protect the environment and preserve biodiversity, the discussion of strategies for adapting to the effects of climate change in the Arab region and related topics concerning human health, as well as the role of space science in green transformation. The latest developments in renewable energy and green technology and their role in achieving a sustainable future in the Arab region will also be highlighted.
