The BA Center for Islamic Studies, in cooperation with the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo, organizes a seminar entitled “Unity and Diversity in Islamic Art”. It coincides with the celebration of UNESCO’s International Day of Islamic Art, which is held annually on 18 November.
The seminar covers the following topics: decorative elements in Islamic arts and their development, inherited and mutual artistic influences in Islamic arts, women's arts and cosmetic equipment in Islamic arts, masterpieces of Islamic artifacts in museums and private collections, and patterns of Islamic arts in the east and west of the Islamic world.
The seminar comes as part of the Center for Islamic Civilization Studies’ interest in the heritage of Islamic arts and architecture, as it published several scientific encyclopedias and specialized books in this field.
The event is held on Monday, 21 November 2022, from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, in the BACC Delegates Hall.
