The BA Hosts an Event Entitled “Culture as a Gateway to Development”

The BA Cultural Outreach Sector organized an event entitled “Culture as a Gateway to Development” as part of the “Alexandria Dialogues” series, attended by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Muhammad Farhat (Palestine), Professor of Sociology at Al-Quds Open University; Dr. Dolly Al-Sarraf (Lebanon), Professor of Sociology at the Lebanese University; and Dr. Saeed El-Masry (Egypt), Professor of Sociology at Cairo University.

Dr. Ahmed Zayed said that culture is the backbone of human civilization, pointing out that it governs human behavior and actions.

He also noted that culture is a component that exists in all sectors of humanity at different levels, explaining that art and culture played a role in the transition to the modern era.
