High-level Delegation from the BA Visits Saint Mina Monastery in Borg El Arab

A high-level official delegation from the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, headed by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, the Library Director, has visited the Monastery of Saint Mina in the Mariout Desert, where they were received by His Eminence Anba Kyrollos, Bishop and Head of the Monastery, and a group of monks. Anba Kyrillos presented Dr. Ahmed Zayed with the Monastery's shield on the occasion of his recent winning of the Nile Prize.
The Library delegation discussed with monastery officials ways of scientific and cultural cooperation between the two parties, especially in the areas of protecting and documenting Coptic heritage, which is represented by the BA Center for Coptic Studies.
