The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has organized a book signing ceremony to discuss bi-Rifqat Abī Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī : Iṣlāḥ al-qalb by writer Dr. Reem Bassiouney at the Library’s Sinnari House in Cairo.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in the presence of Eng. Rizk Abdel Samie, Chairman of Dar Al Maaref, and a group of writers, critics, and intellectuals.

The ceremony witnessed a rich discussion of the book's subject matter with the author, as the work addresses Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali's most prominent ideas on reforming the heart, based on years of studying his fundamental texts and reading what has been written about him in Arabic and other languages.

The ceremony also included an artistic segment that featured a recorded presentation of selections of Sufi poetry and music, to connect the audience with the essence of the ideas addressed by al-Ghazali and reviewed in the book.
