Eminent poets and writers at the Alexandria First International Book Fair

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina began its final arrangements for the Alexandria First International Book Fair.

An unexpected large number of Egyptian and foreign publishing houses have expressed their interest in participating in such event. Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director General of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, said that the library is coordinating with the Alexandria Governorate in the organization of the Book Fair.

Dr. Serageldin added that the Book Fair will be accompanied by several cultural activities organized by the BA Artistic Programs Department. Therefore, the Book Fair will be a cultural gathering to enrich the cultural movement in Alexandria. Lots of thinkers and poets are expected to participate in the activities of the Book Fair, such as the great poet Farouk Goweda, writer Gamal El Gheitany, Dr. Mohamed El Romeihy, Dr. Nasser El Ansary and many others.

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina invited a large number of Egyptian and Arab cultural institutions to participate in this cultural gathering on top of them, The General Egyptian Book Organization. The BA also invited Dr. Samir Sarhan, head of the General Egyptian Book Organization to participate in the activities of this great event.
