The BA Alexandria and Mediterranean Studies Center is organizing a lecture entitled “Space Architecture” on Wednesday, 10 August 2022, at 3:00 pm, in the BACC Delegates Hall. It will be delivered by Dr. Samer el Sayary, Assistant Professor of Architecture at Beirut Arab University, and one of the pioneers of space architecture in the Middle East.

The lecture sheds light on the current and future perspective on space architecture, and discusses the mission statement regarding the theories and practices of designing and building inhabited environments in outer space. These theories encompass the architectural design of the habitat and the prospects of a career in space, according to the World Space Congress, which was held in Houston in 2002 and organized by the Technical Aerospace Architecture Subcommittee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

The lecture is open for public. Please adhere to the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
