Bookshops

Established in 2002 marking the Library’s official inauguration, the BA Bookshop is now operating 3 shops inside the Library complex, namely the BA Bookshop located at the main Library entrance, the Planet shop at the Planetarium Science Center, and the BA Bazaar and Bookshop on Port Said Street.

The BA Bookshop provides a wide variety of products, Egyptian handicrafts and books from well-known national and international publishers, targeting both Egyptians and non-Egyptians, and focusing on promoting the Library, Alexandria and Egypt.

The Planet Shop focuses on experimental and educational products and books for children aged 5 years and above, and also attracting the interest of adults.

The BA Bazaar and Bookshop offers a variety of gifts, products and home accessories, in addition to a selection of books in Arabic and other languages.

The Bookshops operate not only within the BA, but also outside its borders through distributing BA publications to major bookstores in Cairo, and participating in local and international book fairs.
